A hard pear with an excellent flavor, although no trace of pineapple. Great for cooking. Appears immune or nearly immune to fireblight. Grows quickly and sets enormous amounts of fruit at an early age. A very good pollinator for Hood, Orient, and other early pears. Best use is cooking.
