An upright shrub from Southern Europe, North and central East Africa.

Has tiny, needle like, dark-green leaves. Bears tiny, bell like, white, scented flowers.

Flowers January-March

Requires acid, well drained soil in full sun, may tolerate some alkaline soils but best in ericaceous. Hardy down to 5F.
