This is a hardy plant, hybridized by my late friend Helen L. White of New Albany IN. She named it for my daughter, Megan Lyn. When Don Smith registered it, he misspelled the name, putting 2 Ns on LYN. Helen died in 1991, when it was registered, so did not have a chance to correct the mistake.
