Actinidia arguta 'Weiki' is NOT self-fertile. So next to a female plant there 's a male plant needed to set fruit. The berries contain, comparing to other fruits, extremely high levels of vitamin C (200 to 400 mg/100g) next to other vitamins/minerals (Calcium, Kalium, Iron etc.) For crops: treat and grow the shrubs like grapevines. It also flowers and sets fruit on first year branches from older wood.

Actinidia 'Weiki' is developed by the Technical University of München-Weihenstephan, department Fruit Crops.
