This is one of my favorite tulips. When grown in typical vegetable garden soil in Zone 5a, I've had these tulips return for several years. They have strong stems (mine are >2 ft.) and last for about three weeks. They complement orange and red tulips quite nicely. If you like purple tulips, you'll be happy to plant some of these.
