‘Alavarez’ is a cv. of lueddemanniana (after H. Lueddemann, plant collector). ‘Alvarez’ is medio-picta, with a broad stripe of pinkish orange up the centre of each leaf, green margins and centre lineations. Plant maintains good color in higher light growing to 30” tall.
