Wedding Tears was my shot for a soft pink violet. I received a quite small (by Lyndon Lyon standards) plant with my 2009 order. Wedding Tears was the smallest of the set of 12 violets. The upshot was that the plant had variegated foliage. But it turned out to be slow-growing, and I had to wait a long time for blooms. But when it bloomed, it was beautiful.

When the initial blooms faded, it segued into another growing phase, where, every now and then, it would put out a kind ot a disappointing half-bloom, but it’s finally gotten to the point where it’s blooming again and, once again, it’s beautiful.
