Grown from seed obtained in the North American Rock Garden Society seed exchange, it took over 2 years to germinate, but once growing, only 2 more years until they bloomed. The plants have survived three alaskan winters, and have gotten stronger each year. Seed grown is showing to be hardy to zone 3a. Fantastic plant.
