I was told by a local (Thibodaux) seller that this variety does well in our type of wet, humid area, but it has done poorly for me. Most of has died back. Our mildest winter in decades (winter 2012) made it all die back to the ground. It resprouted, but not with any vigor. This past week of monsoon-like rain has pretty much killed it. Probably a great plant for anyone in a drier region, though; hence my positive rating.

Update, July 2014: It grew back with a vengeance and became quite impressive. But the mega-rain of May 2014 gave it root rot and it has now kicked the bucket again... or so it seems.
