A very small, compact and diminuitive form of Opuntia fragilis with tiny 1/2" pads that carry dense golden spines. Pale yellow to yellow flowers come in June (summer). The plant may reach the size of 4" high by 12" wide. Ideal for small areas in a rock garden or even a container. Cold hardy to zone 3. This plant may be available at coldhardycactus.com.
