Mirabilis dichotoma was a popular garden plant long ago but it's rare to find it now. The plant is very similar to M. jalapa in appearence. The bright yellow flowers open at dusk and close during the heat of the day. It a native of Mexico and can easily be grown as an annual in colder zones.
