A plant I've grown on and off for a while but can never find much information on, the information I do find varies a lot from each other.

Has basal rosettes of large ovate leaves, covered in fine white hair. Bears flowering spikes similar to V. thapsus with white or yellow flowers with reddish purple filament hairs opening at various points on the stem in no particular order.

Flowers July-August

Will not tolerate wet soils at all and likes very dry sunny positions.
