Seems to like indirect light. I bought at nursery in town and had some brown spots on leaves. This is the second one I have had. The last one died and they replaced. Beautiful fragrance, long lasting blooms

Plant likes bright but indirect sunlight - some morning or evening direct light OK. Grows well indoors. I've got mine in bark (usual orchid mix) but I believe they are semi-terrestrial and can handle very loose, drainable soil. moderate tempaeratures seem fine, humidity in san francisco is around 45-50% - seems quite happy!

This is one of the most popular terreastrial orchids from South America. I don´t know much about it, but I have heard that they can be found on road sides or disturbed and open vegetation, where it can get a room on the ground and recieve fair amounts of sun light.

As a curiosity, I also heard that, when the flowers are fertilized, instead of dry up and fade, the petals stay firmly in there, but they become green. It is believed that the petals work as a photosynthesis acessory that helps to develop the seed pods.
