A late spring flowering bulb from Turkey where sadly it is no longer found in its wild state.

Has linear, mid green leaves upto 10 inches long. Bears red/orange, cup shaped, 6 petalled flowers.

Flowers April - June

Likes a humus rich, well drained soil in full sun and a shelted spot. Not fussy and is good for naturalising. Hates wet soil.
