A small, neat violet from South Eastern Europe.

Has small, toothed, elongated, heartshaped/oblong, dark green leaves. Bears small, pale lilac, pale violet, pinkish flowers with dark reddish whiskers.

Flowers March-June

Likes a well drained, alkaline soil in sun or partial shade. Needs shade in hot summers and dislikes winter wet.
