This is the first time I have planted this variety. It has performed very well. I mulched it well and basically left it alone. Good set of fruit, strong plant, did great during a dry spell. It has a nice round fruit and great taste. I will plant it again next year.
it has done great for the past 3 years.in missouri heat (90+)and humidity, one of my heaviest producers. Fruit is smooth, round. no cracking, catfacing, blossum end rot, or green shoulders. no disease problems.
i was still getting good-sized, blemish- free fruit thru the end of Sep. This has been one of my best for slicing & canning.
I grow these from seed, cage, mulch with straw, and use
soaker hoses. I have absolutely nothing negative to report
on this variety---it has been one of the best for me.

We gave sunmaster a try last year and got our feelings hurt. I think we set out 36 of them and they didnt yield very well at all.
If you are looking for a good yielding, heat set, commercial determinate - keep looking. There are many out there that are better than sunmaster. Give "Amelia" or something from the "mountain" series a try. You wont get nearly as frustrated. I honestly dont see how this one made it to market.

These plants did not produce anything until August (planted in early April) when some of them produced one or two per plant. Some still didn't, so I tore those out. I cared for these the same as the other varieties. The others did well, but the Sunmaster did not.

This a 1993 entry from Petoseeds in the hot weather tomato category. It is similar to Heatwave. In addition to Fusarium 1 and 2, it is resistant to grey leaf spot.
