Small, evergreen perennial which, although hardy, is best suited to an alpine house. It's parents are C. uniflora and C. fothergillii

Has diamond shaped, dark green, toothed leaves with ribs. Bears strange, pouch shaped, orange flowers spotted and streaked with brown and has a broad white band between the throat and pouch.

Flowers May-July

Likes a moist but well drained, acid soil in sun or partial shade in a cool spot. Best kept in a well ventilated alpine house, in a pot to grow best.

A martyr to white fly, red spider mites and aphids, fungal infections and the occasional slug/snail attack.
