Fast growing aquatic plant, itīs almost uncontrolable in tropical areas. Itīs also a bit sensitive regarding cold, in other hand, so it will behave under moderate temperatures, although it will promptly die in frosts.

It can expand greatly, so one single plant could very well cover a small lake entirely. The flowers come in axillary spikes. They are pink, or light blue, with a yellow spot in one petal. They usually open at the same time, and donīt last long.
