I have discovered that I have this plant, though I thought I had purchased lovage. It flowers profusely from June until August, and is a beautiful yellow and curly mass. Here in MI, it grew over 3 ft tall, needing staked due to being so top-heavy. I have read that seeds are not viable to overwinter in this cold climate, but will update this post next spring with results. Hopefully it will not live up to it's "noxious weed" label.
