Eurasian Watermilfoil Myriophyllum spicatum is naturalized in Texas and other States and is considered an invasive plant in Texas.

Negative RyanUWRF On May 26, 2006, RyanUWRF from Cameron, WI wrote:

This plant may help improve fishing, but it is very degrading to lakes. In the State of Wisconsin this is high priority invasive plant. It grows so thick the canopy of the Milfoil blocks out on light to native plants and there for causing it to die off, if this plant is not taken care of it can turn a lake into a swamp in several years.

FYI: This plant is a Class B Noxious Weed in the state of Vermont. Its movement, sale, and/or distrbution is prohibited with fines upto $1000.00 possible
