This iris blew me away.

The great hybridizer Joseph Ghio remarked in his catalog of 2008 that Rippling River was the most underrated iris. I can believe it now having seen it bloom. The texture of the petals is like satin with a rich blue color that it wasn't possible to capture even with a good camera. Beautiful ruffled form. Stunningly beautiful.

As long as I can grow irises, this one will remain in my garden.
