Grows great in full sun but prefers some afternoon protection to keep leaves from burning. In partial sun to full shade I've found cannas will not bloom as profusely but the leaves will look more vibrant. Cannas do like to be kept well watered and are cold hardy in Las Vegas. Very under utilized in Vegas, in my opinion but will lean towards a more tropical landscape theme vs desert.
