I have noticed that it does not bleach out as much if kept a little more in the shade. Bright colors..

Grown as an annual in z4b, this plant has been spectacular. Grows quickly, propagates from cuttings rapidly, and so far has wintered over in a cool basement near, but not under, lights. (Under cool-white bulbs this cultivar has turned solid rusty-red...as soon as it was removed from the lights and placed out of direct lighting it began returning to its normal color and markings.)

Defiance is one cultivar I hope I'll always have in my garden.

I used Spray-N-Grow on this and it was in a "bank" of coleous that were planted on the east corner of my brick house. It grew to 30" tall and was spectacular right up to frost.
