An herbaceous perennial endemic to rocky pinelands and flatwoods of southern Florida. This plant has 5 lobed, trumpet shaped, blue flowers. Only rarely can one spot a pink flower.
This plant is the larval host plant of the Common Buckeye Butterfly and the Malachite butterfly in southern Florida.
