An annual from the Mediterranean.

Has broad lancelike/spoon shaped, blue green leaves which often have white spotting. Bears drooping, tubular flowers which are often yellow with a conspicuous dark red ring at the top underneath the bracts. The flower can also be completely red in which case the bracts are red also.

Flowers between March-July

Likes a very well drained soil in full sun where it may self seed happily.
