This species is fairly common in sunny glades or in the light dappled shade of aspen woodlands of western North America. It would make a nice addition to a woodland garden, but is not quite as showy as many Geranium species or hybrids. Flowers are normally white, but may be pink flushed or have distinct bluish veins.
