An oldtimer that has stood the test of time. It was listed in Burpee's 1888 catalog and its still going strong. One of the few large pole limas still readily available. Vine is vigorous and prolific. Very easy to pick and shell as the pods are 8 to 10 inches and contain usually 6 beans. I don't care for its eating qualities but I have friends who love them.
