I grew the purple Yardlong bean this year from seed I purchased via SSE. The vines were vigorous going to 12' and more. I only had 2 beans on 8' of huge plants!

I have eaten this bean and it is wonderful. The one I grew even stayed purple when cooked and was so sweet.

I'd love to get more seeds and give them a try again!

I think it is originally from Thailand, but was unable to locate it on our recent trip there.I have bought the fresh beans at our local Farmer's Market from a Laotian farmer.
