Have a current year's seedling in a pot, and never did get it into the ground. It didn't seem to care. It started blooming in July or August and kept on with at least one blossom open or bud ready to open until late October. Several times there were several blossoms open at the same time. Am looking forward to seeing it when it grows up a little.
