This species was first identified by Howard and Ogden in 1990 and is native to northeastern Mexico. It is a prolific bloomer with showy, clear, yellow blooms throughout the summer. It prefers full sun and medium moisture levels. It has longer and narrower petals than Zephyranthes primulina and is hard for me to get a good picture of! Recommended for growing in zones 7b-10. I love all of Howard's introductions--they make great garden plants!

This is a very prolific yellow Zeph. Easy from freshly collected seed. The color is lighter than Z. citrina, and fades.
