According to the authors of "Encyclopedia of Hydrangeas" (2004 - Timber Press)," A medium sized shrub up to 5'. the flowerheads are not very large, but single sepals are extremely large, up to 2.75", serrate. Color usually pink or sky blue. Flowering time is in August. Very free-flowering. Needs some shade for good results. Bred by H. Schadenforff, Germany, in 1928.
