I just purchased this plant today. The flowers are what caught my eye. My tag states: Japanese Hydrangea, Hydrangea serrata 'Shinonome' as the spelling.
Sun to part shade, hardy to -20F (-30C), Size 3-5' (1-1.5m) tall, 3-4' (1-1.2m) wide. Compact habit and dainty mop-head blooms that are blush pink, sized for smaller spaces.
I will try and remember to report on how this plant is doing next spring.
