I love this color! There just aren't enough good red perennials. Dianthus 'Crimsonia' repeat blooms if cut back by half after the first flush is over.

I have grown the Crimsonia Pink for the last two years, starting it from seed indoors in the spring. It fairs well in our zone 3 climate, but I have still not proved it's hardiness as a perennial here. I believe it will do well, as another superbus, Rainbow Loveliness Mix, has come back for several springs. Crimsonia's blooms are a rich red. As with most superbus, the fringed petals have a lovely fragrance.
