Also known as shrubby skullcap in Texas where it starts blooming in early summer and blooms constantly until late fall. Great for rock gardens, clay pots, and even does well in the ground in Houston. Native to TX, OK, NM, CO, KA.

A very hardy little plant that I grew from seed. It's in a fairly brutal full sun environment in my back yard by my pond. I water it when I think about it...but otherwise, it's on it's own, and has dealt wonderfully with raccoons walking over it, too. The blooms are quite cute, for lack of a better word.

This plant is a great ground cover. It can live with very little water once established but if you water it throughout the season it will bloom until fall.
