A suckering shrub from China.

Has pinnate, shiny, deep green leaves which turn a deep red/purple in Autumn. Bears heads (corymbs) of small white flowers followed by pinkish/red berries which turn white as they age.

Flowers April-late May

Loves well-drained, fertile, neutral to acid soil in sun or light shade. It will tolerate a slightly alkaline soil but won't grow so well. It's quite cold tolerant but dislikes too much heat.

Give this one a bit of space!
