I have got addicted to this specially delicious fruit. I am saving seeds to plant on my yard after our house is done, I wonder if they will resist that much time (if not, it won´t be in any way a sacrifice to eat more Atemoyas to get more fresh seeds ^.^)

Trees do well in Satellite beach and seem to be tolerant of Salt. They also lose their leaves in the winter and come back in March. Heavy watering is not necessary as they do not tolerate this. They require regular fertilization with a complete fertilizer. I have numerous in containers which grow quickly.

This is my favorite tropical fruit. The interior of that scaly looking apple is sweet and custard-like. I like to pick them when ripe, refrigerate them until they are cold, then split them in half and attack them with a spoon. Aside from that, they make an interesting looking small tree, but nothing to stop traffic. And some winters, even here in the upper reaches of zone 10, they lose most of their leaves. But they always come bounding back--and seem to bloom the better for it.
