Morning sun and afternoon shade is ideal for this plant; it likes growing under a shade tree. Native to Mexico and Arizona. Hardy in all zones according to The Sunset Book of Western Gardening. When I returned to the Cow Place Plant Show in 2003, I found that Woodland Gardens (the orginal source for this plant) had dropped this particular cultivar from thier inventory.
