I purchased a ghost orchid root at an orchid show in Homestead, Florida. I have been growing it on a gumbo limbo tree in my yard in Key Largo, Florida for approximately 3 months. It seems to have flourished and some of the roots have an end on them which is a light yellow and looks like a lady's finternail. We just went through a drought season and during that time I ran the mist almost every day.

I will take a picture soon and send it to you. Please advise how to do so.

I am researching the Ghost Orchid (polyradicion lindenii) for a class presentation. This particular orchid is endangered, and primarily found in Florida's Fakahatchee Stand State Preserve (where there are only 90 Ghosts). This plant will surely die once removed from it's shady environment. The Ghost Orchid is bewitching, but best left in its habitat.
