A clump forming, tuberous perennial hybrid cultivar sometimes mistakenly named as Arum italicum 'Chameleon'. It parents are Arum maculatum and Arum italicum subsp. neglectum.

It has marbled, silvery-deep green, glossy, large leaves sometimes over 1 foot long. Bears a tall (sometimes over 14 inches), cream to palest green spathes with a pale yellow spadix, inside the spathe there are tiny flowers. the scent is very faint and not as unpleasant as some Arums. The berries that follow become bright orange-red when ripe.

Flowers March-June

Likes a moderately fertile, well drained soil in a sheltered area, sun to shade but prefers light shade since both it's parents are inhabitants of deciduous woodland. Needs plenty of water during summer and shade in the hottest part of the day. In winter when it lies dormant it likes to be kept fairly dry.

A good showy, reliable perennial that produces leaves in winter to early spring when most plants are dormant. Large showy flowers that make quite an impressive and unusual display.

The sap and berry juice can be caustic so wear gloves when handling incase of breakage.
