One of the first plants I bought when I started gardening, it has survived many trials and tribulations. Purchased as a 4" pot, it is now a small tree. Its many good qualities include: Tough plant, vigorous grower, easy to root cuttings, pleasant scent, many flowers (in our climate) in early spring. Occasional aphid infestations are its main drawback. Gets leggy in the winter and needs to be pruned back pretty hard before the rains start in December or the leaves weigh down with water and the branches break.

The leaves of this variety are so sculpted they are very insubstantial. The growth habit seems to be tall and columnar. The fragrance is not as strong as some varieties, possibly because of the smaller amount of substance to the leaves.

It works well in group plantings to help prevent the over-whelming foliage effect of many types of scented pelargoniums. Flowering is very seldom to non-existent.
