Watch out with the fertilizer on any tiarella with red or purple variegation along the veins. The green on mine looked a little pale, so (newbie!) I sprinkled a little Ironite around it to green it up.

Greened it up all right - greened all the pretty purple contrast right out of the leaves for the rest of the season! In the meantime, it was a lovely, healthy, GREEN plant, but it took nearly a year for the purple to re-emerge.
