After about four tries to grow by slip from roots, I finally seem to have some success. I got two pieces; one with a new shoot and the other being an older root, I laid them both flat, roots in soil, covered over with soil and kept moist for approx. 3-4 weeks. They now seem to have caught themselves because new leaves are on them.
They seem to prefer shade and lots of moisture.
