A small growing perennial from China.

Has finely divided, mid to dark green, soft leaves. Bears light to brilliant blue, single or semi-double flowers with a little dark blue to almost black bee.

Flowers July-August

Loves a well-drained, gritty soil in sun or light shade. Dislikes winter wet so it may need to be bought into a cool greenhouse to give it some protection.

Excellent rock garden plant.
