About the blooms. I have one that produced three 10" stalks and each stalk has about 25-30 blossoms. they are spikey looking. Like the spokes of a bike. Pale pink with a large green center circled by a small ring of a rusty color.

And each section on the way down the stalk is starting to produce flowers also.

Hens & chicks spread rapidly.. Thrive in full sun and I also have a lot in full shade, many in part shade. Started with a 3" plant from yard sale. In Spring--separate plant's roots and divide plants to wherever you want to plant them. In the fall cut back the dried up stalks from the plant blooms---will be @ 2' high when dried out. BTW--they grow well whether in pots or ground.
