This pretty little shrub, grows mostly in sandy soils in the Blue Mountains and in coastal regions of New South Wales in Australia. It is a slender shrub often no more then 1 metre high, but apparently growing to 3 metres in some areas.
I collected seed in the Blue Mountains and have two plants thriving and flowering each summer in my garden.
The foliage is attractive, with each leaf much branched into slender terete segments, each of which is turned to point upwards.
The seed forms in dense cones, and is easily extracted and germinates readily.
