This Air Plant is cute. The species is smaller than the most common Air Plant Tillandsia stricta, but equally beautiful. As every air plant, all you need to grow this is a tree where you can fix it to (donīt need soil, just stick the plant to a tree), providing it heat, some light shade and regular watering during long dry seasons. If you live in cold places, make sure you can detach the plant from the tree and bring it inside during the winter.

The leaves are covered with special hairs that provide the absortion of water and minerals from the air, and give the leaves their grey color. The new plants grow on the lower portion of the main plant, and new rosettes are formed constantly.

The purple, tubular flowers come in pink inflorescences that may atract birds. Itīs most likely going to appear all the year, but rarely in winter. I saw ants visiting the plant, probably stealing nectar
