This is an attractive little shrub with bright yellow pea flowers in the spring and leaves just like clover leaves. It grows as an open bush to about 2 to 3 metres and the flowers are followed by hard blackish seed pods, each with just two seeds.
They grow easily from seed but the seed is hard and needs treating with boiling water before germination.
I had one in my garden that flowered well for 3 or 4 years and then suddenly died. I have grown several for revegetation projects in this area.
