This cultivar will do exceptionally well provided it isn't subjected to a spring frost while in it's early growing stage. This is true for most other cultivars of lillies as well. There are approximately 100 species of the genus mainly from wooded habitats and scrub in Europe, Asia south to the Philippines, and North America; there are also innumerable garden hybrids.
'Red Night' bears umbels of medium-sized, unscented, cup-shaped red flowers, lighter on the tepal lobes, spotted black in the centers.
