This is a pretty fast growing Macrozamia, and makes a great specimen plant in a variety of habitats... pretty adaptable. I prefer growing this species in hot, full sun- grows a lot faster and looks slightly blue-green. Shadier habitats make it look limey green and more ordinary. It grows into a great shuttle-cock shape and does well in both wet and drought environments. Though it can handle a lot of cold in southern California, temps into the mid 20s will damage the foliage.
