This plant is beautiful and a very avid climber. To propagate it, cut off a piece of the new growth at least 6 inches long, pull off the bottom set of leaves and stick in water. I have had great success with this. Make sure the stem is green (new growth) before cutting, and make the piece you are cutting isn't in bloom. It grows so high, it tries to climb over my neighbor's roof.

This is a rare vine, endemic to the coast of the Rio de Janeiro State, Brazil. It vegetates along over the bushes of Restinga biome, getting as much sun light as possible.

It has fleshy, shiny leaves, with abundant white sap, which is toxic. The flowers are beautiful, trumpet shaped, yellow, with yellow/orange tube. This flower looks pretty much like an Allamanda for itīs color, shape and size. The seed pods are thin, doubled, with oposite carpels, bearing small hairy seeds.

I donīt think any attempt on cultivating this plant was ever made, so I couldnīt tell if it would tolerate climatic conditions different from those of the natural habitat, so unless researches on this subjects are made, I donīt recomend getting seeds or plants of this species - they must have been collected ilegally from nature.
